Zoey the skunk went missing one morning. Ruth was worried for two reasons. They live in a rural location with many predatory animals and Zoey might not survive the night by herself. Also skunks have a tendency to wander and not return to the same location each night. It was highly likely that the farther Zoey wandered, the harder she would be to find.
Ruth had searched everywhere that she thought Zoey might to no avail. Then Ruth called me. When I communicated with Zoey, she told me not to worry; she was just crawled really far under Ruth’s deck into a dark place that could not be seen from the outside. Zoey let me know that she planned to come out at dinner time and all would be well.
Ruth was still worried when I shared the good news, but, she called me back later that evening to report that Zoey had come out from her hiding place under their deck for dinner. Even better, Zoey acted as if nothing unusual had happened. As you can see in the video clip, Zoey and her puppy friend love to romp and play.
