TAMPA FLORIDA BIRD COAXED HOME

READ HOW THIS BIRD WAS COAXED HOME

Not all birds who get outside for the first time can be coaxed to come back inside. Sights, sounds and the lure of the wild can be appealing. However, here is one story of a happy reunion between LS and her Cockatiel, Sunshine.

LS contacted me when her beloved yellow Cockatiel, Sunshine, had flown out a glass sliding door that had accidentally been left open. LS had seen Sunshine fly out the window and had run outside her apartment to find her. By the time LS arrived out her door, Sunshine had flown off and was nowhere to be found. When I contacted Sunshine she let me know she was over by a dumpster of a blue building in back of LS's apartment, but she planned on traveling farther so that she could have a little adventure. I let Sunshine know that there were hawks in the area and that it was dangerous for Sunshine to be outside alone.

LS ran outside and found Sunshine flying around by the dumpster. Amazingly, as soon as LS appeared, Sunshine took off and flew back inside LS's open sliding glass door.

LS of Tampa, Florida writes:

"Thank you, thank you, thank you, Hilary. I am so grateful to have my little Sunshine home again!"
