ARTHUR WAS TOO AFRAID TO COME HOME

ARTHUR WAS TOO AFRAID TO COME HOME

Arthur is a feral cat who showed up under Terri's s porch. After two years of feeding Arthur, Terri tried to catch him to bring him inside for medical attention. Arthur bolted and came back a few times for food but eventually disappeared. Terri contacted me in the hopes I could persuade him to come home.

When I communicated with Arthur he let me know that he had been hiding near Terri's home until another long-haired, black tom cat came and chased Arthur out of his territory. Arthur ran to the other side of a wooded area in a housing development. Now he was hiding in the yard of brown home with pink and yellow flowers and a red toy wagon in the yard. Arthur was too afraid to come back to Terri's porch for fear of the aggressive tom cat.

Terri of Columbus, Ohio writes:

"I feared he was dead. You told me where he was with a very good description of houses and landscaping. You also told me he had been attacked by a long-haired, black cat and was hiding. I set out right away to find him. I called to him where you told me to go. I also humanely trapped the long haired black cat who was a feral male and had him neutered. I found out he was terrorizing other cats in the neighborhood as well. Arthur came home about two days later. Thank you again."
